If (before you replace the chip), your Drum is already printing with streaks, smudges or lines, the drum is basically already defective or exhibiting signs of defect. Replacing the chip will not bring it back to life. The Drum has multiple moving parts that do wear out and affect quality. Our chips are intended to provide the same quality prints as the last few pages that your printer printed before you replaced the chip. DO NOT replace the chip in the defective Drum (imaging unit).
