Beyond gorgeous work of art walking stick from the 1800's. The handle is golf ball shaped, complete with a hammered "puckered" look. There are three initials inscribed on the lower edge, so this was made into a presentation stick for some lucky person who must have been into golf. As nice as it is, the true star of this 33.5" stick for me is the shaft. Made of hardwood to appear as if it was bamboo, it has a segmented look, complete with a burned decoration from top to bottom. The colors and finish here has to be seen in person to fully appreciate how rich and regal it looks. There isn't a single mark or loss of color. The 1.5" bi-metal ferrule shows only time stain on the white metal upper portion, and a couple of tarnish spots on the soft lower base metal. There is no wear on the bottom. This is as pretty a stick as you will ever see, very sturdy, and completely unique.
